Admission Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age
Attend a tour and personal interview with an Admissions representative
Have at least one of the following acceptable documents:
- High school diploma
- General Educational Development (GED) diploma
- Enrollment in Bene’s Career Pathways designed to aid students in passing ATB test and working towards GED diploma
Have a social security card or student visa
Meet the physical demands of the profession (details of physical requirements, wages, job growth etc. at www.onetonline.org)

Instructor Training students must hold a current Florida Cosmetology license AND have two years of salon experience.

Come In for a Tour

Take a tour of one (or both) of our Florida campus locations in New Port Richey and Brooksville. You’ll have the opportunity to chat with instructors and students and explore the campus environment. Get your questions answered and experience the culture firsthand at Bene’s Career Academy.

During the tour, you’ll get to know more about our campus and the resources available — plus, you’ll be able to see what professional tools and products our students get to use! Our practical demonstration areas come complete with mannequins and models, anatomy skeletons, esthetics tools and machines, polish bars, and visual aids to accelerate the learning process.

If you’ve scheduled your admissions counselor meeting following the campus tour, you can save time by bringing a copy of any transfer records, and completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) so we can help you get started.

Common Questions

Do You Offer Financial Aid?

A variety of Financial Aid options are available to those who qualify. As a prospective student at Bene’s Career Academy, you may qualify for funding from a variety of federal programs. The most common of these include the Federal Pell Grant, FSEOG, Federal Work-Study and Federal Stafford Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized). Eligibility is determined based on your Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA®) status. Upon admission, you will meet with our helpful financial aid office for a brief interview to determine what options are available to you..

What Type of Career Services Are Offered?

While we cannot guarantee employment, we do strive to help you create your own professional network through guest artists, salon owners, and other industry professionals. You’ll have a lot of opportunities to network and decide where you’d like to be! Benes also provides a job board at each campus displaying positions from local businesses that have asked us to post their availability.

Do You Provide Housing?

We do not offer formal housing through our schools.

When Do Classes Start?

Class start dates vary per program. Classes start roughly every six weeks for our cosmetology and barber programs and start weekly for our skin care and nails programs. Our massage starts 1-2 times a year. Current start dates can be found at the end of our catalog.
