Career Pathways: Creating Accessibility in Beauty & Wellness Education

At Bene’s Career Academy, we understand that not every journey is a straight line. We support nontraditional learning paths by providing avenues for completing your high school diploma or GED equivalent while enrolled at one of our Florida beauty schools. Our role as partners in your education is to remove barriers to cosmetology admission, so you can begin to focus on your chosen career.

Prepare To Obtain Your GED

Career Pathways is designed for students above the age of 16 who have not achieved a high school diploma or GED equivalent. This program allows students to enter vocational school and begin coursework in their chosen cosmetology training track while simultaneously working toward their high school diploma or GED equivalent.

At the end of your tenure as a Career Pathways student, it is possible to have obtained both your GED and a professional license from completion of one of our programs. The accelerated dual education track allows students to join the professional community faster and begin pursuing their passions, no matter if your passion is in skincare, hairstyling, massage, or something else!

As an added benefit, students enrolled in one of our programs and career pathways program may still be eligible for financial aid.

Don’t delay. Your dream career
is a step away!

How Do I Enroll in the Career Pathways Program?

The first step in cosmetology enrollment for the Career Pathways option is to visit one of our campuses and take the GAINS exam. Don’t worry — you will not be evaluated for admission based on this assessment. The GAINS exam is simply a tool to benchmark where you’re at academically, so we can effectively plan your course curriculum.

This test will gauge your strengths and weaknesses. Your admissions counselor can recommend the best course track based on these results as well as your ultimate educational goals and timeframe.

Next, set a time to tour the beauty school campus closest to you. Both our New Port Richey and Brooksville campuses are ideal learning environments. We welcome new students to enroll at the location they feel best suits their educational needs.

Once accepted into our program, you will meet your Career Pathways instructor on a weekly basis until you feel confident in taking the ATB (Ability to Benefit) exam. From there, students become eligible to apply for financial aid and full enrollment into one of our many comprehensive beauty or wellness programs.

Reach out to the admissions representative of the campus you want to attend to learn more.
