The Greatest Journeys begin with a single step .....

A goal without a plan is just a Wish!.

Picture
Bene's Career Pathways is designed to provide a plan for individuals without a valid high school diploma to obtain adult or remedial education while they are attending Bene's Career Academy.   At Bene's they will work towards accredited career education that will lead to successful employment and/or further education.

Individuals without a valid high school credential can enroll in the Bene’s Career Academy and participate in the Career Pathways Class.

For students without a high school diploma, The USDOE has created an option to enter vocational school.  Bene's Career Pathways option requires the successful passing of the Wonderlic ATB test.

The Bene's Pathway class offers individual tutorship stewardship to guide the student through the process of preparing to take the GED and career success.

The goal of Career Pathways is to provide stewardship and tutoring designed to help the student prepare to take and pass the ATB (Ability to benefit) test and eventually the GED test.

If a student enters the  school under the ATB option, they must also be concurrently working on passing the GED.  In other words, students must be enrolled in an approved accredited vocational program like Cosmetology, and at the same time be working towards obtaining their GED.  The goal of USDOE creating this option is for the student to obtain a professional license and a GED.

Bene’s provides Career Pathways study hall hours one day a week at each campus from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm where students can receive individual one on one tutoring.  We also provide chromebooks to use with internet access to utilize online tutoring programs.  Each student receives assessment testing to create individual learning plans.

We help the students with the MYGED site and help the students sign up for the GED practice tests.  When a students is ready, we help the student schedule their official GED testing at an approved state testing site.

Eligible students are required to attend weekly tutoring sessions and progress towards taking and passing the GED test.   Students are will be enrolled in one of Bene's Career Academy Programs and be responsible for maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress.  .  The goal is to become a licensed hands on professional with a GED.

As a student at Bene's, participants in Career Pathways will be eligible for Financial Aid for the accredited Program, if they qualify.   So eligible students can receive financial aid while working towards their GED and a Career at Bene's!
